The 4 Liberation Campaigns exist to promote the rights and interests of 4 groups of students and groups within wider society. Women, Disabled, Black and LGBT students are each under-represented in society, are subject to hate crime and are socially and institutionally disadvantaged in job markets and in terms of pay.
Each Liberation Campaign on campus is lead by the 4 Liberation Committees who are each lead by the Liberation Chairs who are elected in the second semester elections. The membership of each committee all self-define as members of the relevant group to guarantee we have self-organised groups working campaigns that they design and implement themselves.
Events take place throughout the year engaging all students in the mission of creating a more equal and safe community and society.
