LINKS

LINKS is the student division of St John Ambulance, and Hull LINKS is also a society run by students of the University which provides First Aid cover for the many events which take place on campus, for example, at Asylum or for sports matches. Just like any other society in the Union, we hold weekly meetings for all members, at which we usually have training to help us deal with the various situations we might come across as First Aiders. We also have regular socials and fundraising activities to raise money for equipment and uniform.

The LINKS executive committee 2010/11 is as follows:

Chair- Cat Clothier. Cat liaises with HUU Welfare and oversees the rest of the LINKS committee.

Vice Chair (Duties)- Jonathan Milnes. Jonathan ensures that our first aid duties at the University are covered, including the End of Year Ball.

Secretary- Rebekah Horrigan. Rebekah is responsible for the membership database, minuting committee meetings and keeping members updated via the Bulletin.

Treasurer- Noel Roberts. Noel is in charge of the LINKS accounts and oversees any purchases we make.

Training Coordinator- David Preece. David's job is to ensure that LINKS members receive adequate training and that training is provided at our weekly meetings

Equipment Coordinator- Jon Mole. Jon makes sure that our First Aid Post in Asylum is well stocked, clean and tidy.

PR & Social Secretary- Rosie Kirk. Rosie is responsible for any PR activities that LINKS does eg. fundraising, and is also organises socials.

Member Support & Development Coordinator- Dani Powell. Dani provides welfare support for our members and refers them to the appropriate support systems when necessary. She encourages the development of volunteers, eg. through the use of PDPs.
