Health

Good health is vital to you achieving and thoroughly enjoying your time here in Hull, so we’re here to help, and make sure you get all the information and advice you’re entitled to.

Whether it’s from feeling homesick, to needing sexual health advice or maybe just some free condoms, the Welfare zone is here to help you.

During Fresher’s week and Exam periods, the comfort zone is available. It’s for you to go and have a chat/rant to someone, have a cry or to just try and relax during a busy assessment period, it doesn’t matter why, anyone is welcome and it’s there for all the students so use it! Condoms are available from various places throughout the students union including;

• Student Activities Centre
• Welfare Office
• Advice Centre
• Sports Office
• Women’s Office
• Disablities Office
• And more...

And best of all, they’re all FREE!!!

The nearest Sexual Health Clinic from the University is Conifer House, and you can head there for issues including family planning, Emergency Contraception and STI screening. It’s next to Debenhams near the prospect centre with opening times Monday - Saturdays

If you need to know where any of the others are just contact a member of staff in one of the areas where condoms are available.

If you need help with any health issue, either head up to the advice centre, who are more than willing to point you in the right direction, or head to student support services also on the third floor, who are able to direct students to counselling services and a variety of other helpful contacts.
