| Statement from Kat Docherty Statement from Kat Docherty, Returning Officer for HUU 09 elections regarding the position of President. During the course of the elections, a number of complaints were received by the Returning Officer regarding a particular candidate for the position of President. Some of these complaints were upheld and the decision made to exclude the candidate from the elections. This decision by the Returning Officer was appealed by the candidate, through the Students’ Union election procedures, to the Elections Appeals Committee, which has been duly called. Therefore, the results of the Presidential election at HUU will not be announced until after the Elections Appeal Committee has met and adjudicated on this issue. |
