Disc Golf - Outdoors

Disc Golf is quite similar to Ultimate, except that you don't play on a pitch.  And you don't score in an end zone.  And your not marked.   And you don't have to run.  So maybe it's not that similar, but the throws that are required to WIN at Disc Golf are just the same as used in a normal Ultimate match!  Disc Golf is a prefect way to improve throws, especially hucks as there is usually quite a distance to cover, as well as improving disc accuracy and judging wind conditions to make that all important "pot!"

What to expect:

Not everyone in the club plays Disc Golf, however its a nice relaxing way to chill out close to exam times etc.  Disc Golf really can be played by anyone, however it does help to have a little practice at throwing around outdoors, so we probably won't be playing until after most of the indoor beginner tournaments are over!  However if you feel like you fancy a game...just grab an experienced player and tell em "Me want Disc Golf..." and then maybe they will be up for it!  Robbie will be!

What to bring:

Well the obvious thing would be a disc...but don't worry if you don't have one...you will get some in time...pretty much all the beginner tournaments sell discs, and if you can't buy one...chav one...or place an order with Matt W and he will hook you up...anyway...the club have loads of discs so just bring you, some trainers (you don't really need boots for Disc Golf) a bit of water, or a few beers and of course...
