The voting system is a transferable or preference voting system. This means that student can rank the candidates in order of preference. If no candidate gets 50% of the total votes, then the candidate with the lowest numbers is eliminated. This process carries on until a candidate gets 50% of the votes. So make sure to rank your votes for each position! If your first preference doesn’t win, your next favourite could get it.
