It’s getting colder and colder and everyone is seemingly becoming busier and busier. Essay deadlines are creeping up and we’re all starting to feel the winter blues. However, just remember that HUU is always here. If you need any advice then our independent advice centre is here to help you throughout the week. Also, if you’re having any issues with your course, then speak to your course rep! Currently we are creating giant posters with contact details on to be put up around various hot spots on campus for students to figure out who’s representing them. We will also be putting all of this info on the website too.

On the 7th of December we are taking 15 Course Reps to the National Course Rep Conference in Leeds. This promises to be a really exciting event. It’s an opportunity for our reps to network, hear new ideas and debate issues around Higher Education.

Things are also gearing up for our Student Conference taking place on the 8th of February. Our high profile speakers will be announced next week. So watch this space. Also next week, we will be launching our Student Led Teaching Awards. For the first time ever, students will have the opportunity to nominate members of teaching staff, support staff, personal supervisors and many more to receive awards for their excellent work. Start thinking about who you might want to nominate within the institution.

Thanks!
