National Student Survey 2011

The National Student Survey, www.thestudentsurvey.com Not just any survey. This is the greatest opportunity that you have as a student to reflect on your time here at the University of Hull. Whether you’ve had a great time or an awful time or maybe just a mediocre time, it’s really important that you fill in the survey and “speak up” on the quality of your student experience.

The student experience is one of the key indicators of the quality of a Higher Education institution and plays a key role in the national Universities league tables. It is therefore something that the University of Hull takes very seriously.

However, the survey not only benchmarks us against other institutions, but it helps us to learn, to respond and to grow. Following comments from the NSS in previous years, we have seen various improvements across the campuses. The refurbished lecture theatres in the Wilberforce building and the redeveloped Keith Donaldson Library in Scarborough are just two of many examples.

As a student’s union, HUU believes that getting an accurate and representative account of students’ views within the survey is extremely important. The Education Zone this year completed their own response to the NSS results and we use it throughout the year as an evidence base for research and campaigning.

The survey takes less than 5 minutes to fill in, the data from it is of immense value and not to mention; there are 100 Apple products up for grabs including Ipads and Ipod nano’s!

Thanks for reading, and please fill in the survey: www.thestudentsurvey.com
