Zone Plan
The Education Zone Operational Plan includes the main aims of the zone for the 2010-11 academic year. The Operational Plan includes 4 main aims and 9 key performance indicators. The Education Zone will be responsible for monitoring performance against plan and proposing the operational plan for 2011/12 for approval by Council and the Board of Trustees. Main Aims:
- Working with the University to help deliver the Learning and Teaching Strategy.
- Having an effective course representation system in place administered by HUU which contributes to quality improvements at every level.
- Providing appropriate advice for individuals and groups of students on academic issues.
- Enhancing student informal learning and extra curricula experience.
- 80% (Hull) 100% (Scarborough) of course reps recruited by end week 5 (Hull and Scarborough) and trained by end of week 7 and 80% of course reps trained responding positively in the evaluation.
- 90 % of academic clients satisfied with the help and advice given through survey analysis.
- All specified high priority action points in the student submission action plan are complete by the end of year of office and to produce Student Written Submission by end of year of office.
- Help the university to increase by 5% in level of turnout for the NSS 2011.
- Have score of 85% of respondents answering agree or strongly agree with the statement “HUU has influenced the quality of my education whilst at the University” as part of the annual satisfaction survey.
- 60 students attending HUU Student Conference (increase from 30 in 2010) and 80% attending giving good feedback.
- 100% of Faculty Reps recruited by HUU by end of Week 6 and all Faculty and Senate Reps trained by end of Week 12 semester 1 with 85% responding very good/good on feedback forms.
- The Education Zone will also be responsible for monitoring expenditure against the agreed Education annual budget.
