International Student Information

International Students are very well catered for at HUU, The International Students Association, the ISA for short has many facets and you might be surprised at the wealth of things we do. However, most of all, there is one thing the ISA is definitely not: exclusive to “foreign” students.

The ISA understands itself as a social forum, where people from all over the world can come together in a relaxed atmosphere. Students from many different cultures meet and learn about one another, and this of course also includes British students.

Everybody is welcome to join us at the regular ISA parties, take part in the sports events or go on one of the many trips to destinations in the UK and abroad. As well as introducing international students to British culture we want to give an opportunity to British students to meet new people from different cultures, cross boundaries and make friends from all over the world. As the largest society at The University of Hull we have numerous possibilities for you to get involved.

We are here to provide support for you in every aspect of your time at University. Every student is entitled to access any of our facilities and many of you will soon become regulars at University House, Hull University Union.

Societies are one of our largest Union areas. Currently we have over eighty societies ranging from Juggalize It! to Afro-Caribbean, Hull Alternative and Goth Society (HAGS) to the Conservative Future. However, if your interest is not catered for then you can just create your own!

In addition to this we have 45 Athletic Clubs which cater for interests ranging from traditional sports to Riding and Ultimate Frisbee. Again if your interest is not catered for then you can create your own team

Equally important is the academic support which we offer. We train students to become Academic Reps to help you get the most out of your degree.
