Frederick Holmes Special School is looking for student volunteers to provide reading support for children aged 5-11 on a regular basis and for general classroom helpers. The children at the school have a range of learning and physical disabilities.
Previous experience of working with disabled children would be great but not a necessary requirement. This is a great way of building up classroom experience and developing new skills. The school is very happy to provide references for dedicated volunteers.
You can arrange a time to go in with the school and will need an enhanced CRB check covering before volunteering. Please contact Naomi on n.alty@hull.ac.uk if you would be interested in volunteering.
