► Older People

Volunteer spec:

Volunteers need to be friendly, sociable and happy to chat and happy to listen – our older people love to chat! It’s really important for you to be reliable as the older people get more out of the projects when they have a rapport with the students. Most importantly, students need to have a sense of humour and enjoy the company of the older generation.

Training for volunteers in this Area will include:
• Health and Safety

• Building a friendship

• Listening and communication

• Pastimes and activity ideas
