East Riding of Yorkshire Council            <--back-

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is the local authority for the area of the East Riding outside of Hull. It covers the Lawns complex, so most Hull first years will spend some time in the East Riding. The council is presently Conservative by a big margin- however since the elections are done in thirds (so there are elections nearly every year) this could change. The council is based in Beverley, which is to the North-West of Hull itself and North of Cottingham. Because of the way Unitary Authorities work, both Hull and the East Riding are serviced by Humberside Police.
