Hull University Labour Club is a society which is affiliated to the Students Union and to Labour Students. We are a democratic socialist political society with a large diverse membership. We try to involve as many people as possible, through a range of events, campaigns, socials, debates and trips.
We run a variety of events including trips to Labour events and conferences, trips to London and socials in Hull. We have regular guest speakers in, usually with a debate afterwards where you get to question everyone from local councillors to government ministers!
It's easy to get involved in HULC. You can sign up at one of our stalls in the Students Union- either in Freshers week or at regular intervals throughout the Union. Alternatively it takes just a couple of minutes to sign up in the Student Activity Office (next to the Union Shop) or here online!
Being a student isn't just about getting a degree- some would argue that this isn't even the most important part! It's about the student experience, about meeting new people, seeing new things, getting involved in the world and learning about important issues on subjects such as Politics, Business and History. HULC can be the biggest part of your experience here in Hull, giving you experience and skills you can use in later life.
If you want to find out more about HULC, the Labour Party or any other aspect of our club then the toolbar on the left has a variety of pages and links you should find helpful! Alternatively you can Contact Us and we'll be happy to answer any queries!
